In addition to his interests in social, abnormal, and environmental psychology, Professor Sommer has done research in art, architecture, and design. Dr. Sommer has consulted on the design of bicycle paths, residence halls, geriatric housing, airports, offices, prisons, farmers markets, and other types of facilities. He also collects, paints, and writes about mushrooms.
